My School Year Is Starting Too!
Meeting new readers for my books is one of my favorite things!
An aerial view of the Copper Harbor Lighthouse at the entrance to Lake Superior. (You can see why they needed a lighthouse!)
While everyone else is getting pencils and backpacks and computers ready for the new school year, I’m working on scheduling author visits.
This fall, I’m planning trips to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula (Hellooo Copper Harbor!) and to Northern California. If I’m lucky, I’ll also get in a visit or two to my local schools (near Hillsborough, NC) and to a few schools in Brunswick County (home of the Cape Fear River and its lovely lighthouses).
Come spring, I’m hoping to head to Flint, Michigan and back out to California. There’s a lot of “arranging” to do, but it will be worth it. I love talking to students about my books.
Hope you have a great year! Wish me luck on mine!
P.S. Do you know of a school or classroom that would like a visit? Email me (mct@mctillson.com) and I’ll be in touch!

Knitting is my new hobby.
Burying things at the beach.

Off on a trip to... Squirrel!

Gone fishing!

It wasn't my fault.

Waiting for my garden to grow.

Time for a nap.

Sometimes I forget which leg to use.

I like a bed with lots of room.
